I believe that one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. I view clients as the experts of their own experiences and believe the therapeutic relationship should be collaborative and unbiased. I strive to bring empathy, kindness, and humor to create a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel empowered to heal and grow, while gaining a deeper understanding of themselves.

I utilize an integrative approach to therapy aimed at addressing the ‘whole’ person. Some of the treatment approaches that I draw from include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strengths based, trauma informed, and mindfulness. I work best with clients who are willing to show up within the therapeutic relationship, strive for insight, and engage in the ‘uncomfortability’ of changing patterns of reaction that are no longer serving them.

I completed my graduate studies at Salisbury University and have been in the field of social work since 2013. My background includes working with law enforcement, crisis intervention, substance use, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and adolescents within the school system. Some of my specialty certifications include Critical Incident & Stress Management (CISM) for first responders and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, pet rabbit Charlie, family, and friends. I am an avid traveler, love being out on the water, catching some live music, and enjoy reading a great book (I always love recommendations!)
