Falen Cook, LMSW
Therapist
Niche: LGBTQIA+, Addiction, Anxiety & Depression
After earning her BSW from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and MSW from Salisbury University, Falen developed a deep passion for holistic mental health care. She has extensive experience supporting individuals with persistent mental health and substance use disorders across all levels of treatment, with a focus on creating care that feels safe, supportive, and authentic.
Falen provides therapy from a person-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative approach. She believes each client is the expert of their own experience and works alongside them to build goals that feel meaningful and tailored. Clients often describe her as a calming presence who helps them feel truly seen and not judged.
Drawing from approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, she creates a holistic therapy experience rooted in trauma-informed care. She is passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and neurodiverse clients, and is a good fit for those new to therapy, as well as clients ready to begin practicing new skills between sessions.
Outside of work, Falen enjoys being outdoors — often hiking, beachcombing for shark teeth, foraging for wild food, or practicing amateur nature photography. She also loves pickleball, family time, and spending time with her pets.
