Privacy Practices & Confidentiality: 1. We do not share or sell SMS opt-in, or phone numbers for the purpose of SMS. 2. Although it is the goal of Lotus Psychotherapy to protect the confidentiality of your records, there may be times when disclosure of your records or testimony will be compelled by law. No information will be released without your written consent unless mandated or permitted by law. If a court order is received, you will be notified in writing of this disclosure. Lotus Psychotherapy will at all times strive to act in compliance with both federal and state law regarding your privacy and confidentiality. 2. Mandated Reporting and Exceptions to Confidentiality. Clients are advised that Lotus Psychotherapy is mandated to break confidentiality and report in certain situations. Possible exceptions to confidentiality include but are not limited to the following: ï‚· Abuse/Neglect: Child abuse or neglect or abuse/abuse of the elderly or disabled; ï‚· Duty to Protect: Thoughts, plan, and/or intent to harm self or others (i.e., suicidal or homicidal); ï‚· Court Orders: Orders signed or issued by a judge/court; ï‚· Complaints/Litigation: Due to the filing of a complaint with a licensing board or other state or federal regulatory authority, or in the event of civil litigation filed by the client against Lotus Psychotherapy; ï‚· Regulatory Obligations: State and/or Federal regulatory authorities in connection with their compliance or investigatory responsibilities; ï‚· Operational and Clinical Purposes: Employees or other staff, agents, or others on behalf of the practice for operational purposes. Additionally, therapists at Lotus Psychotherapy may consult with other practitioners to ensure that the best level of care and service is being provided; ï‚· Supervision Review: Access by a Supervising Clinician.
