Leslie Rice, CSC-AD
Niche – Niche: Addiction, Whole Body Wellness
The experience of addiction and the feelings and emotions that accompany it can be overwhelming and difficult to move through. Helping you to hold yourself and your experience with kindness and compassion during the therapeutic process is incredibly important to me. I am here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you as together we find your path to sustained recovery. I want to help you become the person you have always wanted to be and to provide you with the tools needed to facilitate a lifetime of growth. I believe strongly in the resiliency of the human spirit and in the capacity for healing that lies within each of us.
As a Certified Supervised Counselor of Alcohol & Drugs, having earned my undergraduate in Psychology, and my graduate degree in Eastern Philosophy (MAEC - St. John’s College), my treatment approach is rooted in both schools. I believe passionately in addressing the whole person. To this end I use a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mind Body Therapy, and Zen Therapy. I believe there are many paths towards healing and sustained wellness. I will work with you to find the path that is right for you.
As a yoga instructor of over a decade I have traveled to India for multiple trainings. In my free time I enjoy translating Sanskrit and practicing yoga and meditation. I also enjoy being in nature, tending to my plants, and spending time with family, friends, and my dog Sam.
