I believe strongly in the resilience of the human spirit; that it is possible for our greatest struggles to guide us toward realizing our greatest strengths. Addiction can be one of the greatest struggles we face in life, but there is a path forward, one that is unique to you. I am simply here to shine a light on what already lies within you, for you to gain insight into yourself and into what the best path forward looks like for you. I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to move through and process the experiences that have brought you to this moment; to help you find peace and empowerment.

Having received my BS in Psychology from the University of Maryland and MA in Eastern Philosophy (MAEC, St John’s College), I have taken an unorthodox approach to becoming an addictions counselor and certified trauma professional. My passion is mindfulness, and the practices that allow us to cultivate it. My approach is primarily MBCT (mindfulness-based cognitive therapy).

As a yoga teacher for over a decade, I believe strongly in the power of the mind/body connection and the capacity that lies within each of us to overcome, to heal and to thrive.
