When working with clients, it is important to work from an approach that is client centered. It is important to facilitate a safe and welcoming environment at all times that is free of judgment and filled with unconditional positive regard.  By utilizing CBT, motivational interviewing, DBT and existential therapy, solution focused therapy and mindfulness we can develop a solid treatment plan that can ebb and flow as goals are met.  There is not a “cookie cutter” approach to therapy.

I completed my graduate studies at Walden University and Monmouth University with a concentration in crisis and trauma. My education has spanned a little longer than most, as I am a military spouse.  I have been able to work in a variety of settings such as the Family Advocacy Program with the US Army and in a program for children ages 13-18 who were court mandated to complete treatment.  I also have experience in an in-patient substance use disorder treatment center that worked with individuals with co-occurring disorders.  I am also a certified trauma professional.
