Skilled Mental Health Services
We provide a wide range of therapy options tailored to each person’s needs. Our goal is to support healing from stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other challenges through evidence-based and holistic approaches.
Our clinicians are trained in methods such as EMDR, CBT, Brainspotting, mindfulness-based therapy, and other integrated approaches. By combining these tools with a supportive therapeutic relationship, we help clients build resilience, gain clarity, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Group Therapy
Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to connect with others who are experiencing similar struggles. In a supportive and confidential environment, clients can share, listen, and receive feedback from both peers and trained facilitators.
Our groups are intentionally kept small—6 to 7 participants—so that everyone has the chance to be heard and supported. We carefully match a facilitator to each group to ensure their expertise and experience align with the group’s needs.
In group therapy, many people naturally recreate patterns that feel challenging in their day-to-day lives. This creates a safe space to notice those patterns, practice new ways of relating, and experience healthier interactions. One of the most powerful parts of group work is realizing you’re not alone. We promise—others share similar challenges and together you can grow past them.
At The Refuge, we are proud to offer a deeply human, individualized path toward healing and long-term recovery. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for those navigating mental health or substance use challenges who need more support than weekly therapy, but less than inpatient care.
Here, clients are met with compassion, structure, and empowerment. We combine clinical expertise with a deep respect for each person’s story, using a mind-body-spirit approach that encourages self-awareness, courage, and emotional resilience.
Our program is designed to include families and support systems, creating a ripple effect of healing that strengthens relationships and restores connection. Whether you’re just beginning your recovery journey or returning for continued care, The Refuge offers a nonjudgmental space where real transformation happens — one step, one truth, one brave moment at a time.
Medication Management
Sometimes, talk therapy isn’t enough on its own—and that’s okay. At Lotus Psychotherapy and The Refuge, our therapists work closely with our in-house medication management team to offer integrated, collaborative care tailored to your needs and goals.
Medication management is an alternative therapy support option used to address symptoms related to behavioral and psychiatric conditions. Our approach is holistic: we consider the full picture including your environment, physical health, emotional wellbeing, spiritual beliefs, and developmental history when developing a treatment plan.
Our prescribers are not only medically trained but also have backgrounds in mental health counseling. They’ll walk you through everything you need to know about your medication, from intake schedules and dosage to expected benefits, risks, and side effects, so you can feel informed and supported every step of the way.
Somatic therapy is an alternative therapy that focuses on the body as a key part of emotional and psychological healing. At its core, it’s a personalized approach that weaves together mindful movement, guided awareness, and restorative practices.
Somatic work helps you reconnect with your inner experience, whether you're feeling tension, discomfort, numbness, or disconnection. This approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens on multiple levels: mental, emotional, physical, energetic, and spiritual.
Our yoga therapist Mandy offers gentle, attuned support to help you build your own path toward balance, resilience, and deeper well-being—at a pace that feels right for you.
