Megan Austin

MSW Intern

Megan Austin is a Master of Social Work student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. She is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s most difficult transitions, including grief, anxiety, chronic illness, and major life changes.

Megan has supported clients through bereavement and facilitated cancer support groups at the Wellness House of Annapolis, where she also provided community outreach and group interventions. She is recognized for creating safe, compassionate spaces where clients feel validated, supported, and empowered to build on their strengths.

With a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Towson University, Megan brings strong skills in authentic connection, advocacy, and relationship-building to her clinical work.

Outside of her professional life, Megan enjoys yoga, hiking, and spending quality time with her son. Grounded in empathy, self-determination, and social justice, she is dedicated to reducing barriers to care and meeting clients where they are.
